Mary Robinson was born in Warwickshire and grew up on an isolated smallholding with no mains electricity. She has a first class honours degree in English from London University. For several years she taught in higher and adult education. She now concentrates on writing poetry and non-fiction prose.
She lives in the north of England within sight of the Scottish hills.
